Trying something new and different is always good for the soul. I did just that a while ago, I attended the annual Mental Wealth Festival organised by City Lit. What a fantastic event, I highly recommend it!
I signed up to a number of workshops, one of which was Laughter yoga. Apart from being sent a YouTube video some time ago of a man laughing to himself hysterically I’d never really heard much about it so wasn’t sure what to expect.
I recently finished a work contract with a large complex organisation. I really enjoyed working with them and particularly enjoyed building relationships with the people I worked with.
The project was related to culture transformation therefore the focus had to be very much on getting people from all over the organisation actively involved in making decisions, planning and delivering the programme of work.
How lucky are we to have beautiful sunshine in late September?
The sun gives me such a feeling of warmth and brightness. This isn’t just the physical feeling of it but the wonderful feeling I get inside that makes me feel alive and happy – it lifts my mood! I notice this in other people too, who seem to be perkier with a bit of bounce in their step when the sun is out.
Put quite simply when we do things that play to our strengths we feel energised and enjoy them, therefore we are more motivated and happy. By knowing our strengths we can take charge and find ways to do more of the things that play to our strengths.
